Admission conditions

Admission Requirements for the 2025/2026 Academic Year
Admission conditions for full-time education for the 2nd round

For all parts of the entrance examination, applicants can achieve a maximum of 166 points. The evaluation of the unified entrance examination (JPZ) contributes 60 % to the overall evaluation of the applicant’s fulfilment of the admission criteria. The better result of the written test in Czech language and literature and the written test in mathematics is taken into account.

Applicants participating in the second round of the entrance examination will be ranked based on their results. Admission will be offered to those applicants whose ranking falls between 1st place and the position corresponding to the last place within the capacity allocated for the second round of the admissions process for the specific field of study and has achieved a minimum of 40 points (cut-off score).

The ranking of applicants will be determined based on the total score from the unified entrance examination and the school-specific entrance examination. In the case of a tie in the total score, the final ranking will be determined progressively as follows:

  1. The average grade as per criterion (1).
  2. Then by criterion (2).
  3. Finally, criterion (3) is outlined in the “criteria for recognition of the school-specific entrance examination.”

If the tie persists, the following factors will be considered in order:
4. The score from the Czech language section of the unified entrance examination.
5. The score from the Mathematics section of the unified entrance examination.
6. The average grade in the Czech language from the last two issued school reports.
7. The average grade in Mathematics from the last two issued school reports.

Entrance examination

The entrance examination is composed of the evaluation of the following parts:
1) result of the state entrance examination (a maximum of 100 points),
2) result of the school entrance examination (max. 66 points).

Applicants for fields of education with a school-leaving examination will not take the unified (state) entrance examination (JPZ) in the 2nd round. When evaluating the results of the 2nd round of admissions to the field of secondary education with a school-leaving examination, the school principal will take into account the results of the unified entrance examination from the 1st round.

The school entrance examination consists of the test of the General studies requirements (OSP-sample here). Depending on the test result, applicants can obtain up to 66 points.

Recognition of the school entrance examination

An applicant may be exempt from attending the entrance examination, receiving a maximum of 66 points without the need to pass the test of general studies requirements, if at least one of the following criteria is met. If there is a request for the recognition of the school part of the entrance examination according to the following points 4 to 8, enclosing a statutory declaration with attachments is a necessary condition (to download from here). The statutory declaration is an integral part of the application.
